Application Rates
Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: To prepare new gardens, apply 1-2 lbs per 100 square feet. To feed established plants, side dress 1-2 tablespoons per plant, depending on size of plant.
Containers: For new plantings, mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil OR add 1-2 lbs per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 teaspoons per gallon into the soil.
Trees & Shrubs: Spread ½ -1 lb per 1″ of trunk diameter. For new trees, mix ¼ – ½ cup with the backfill soil.
